Ambassador Rosemary Atu is a global change-maker, a woman champion and an inspiration to millions of women and girls in Africa. She hails from Gwafan District of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria (Izere by tribe).
She is an administrator per excellence with over 25 years experience in digital communication and technology services. She joined the services of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Nigeria in 1999. Ever since she has been part of many teams that have championed sustainable development initiatives in the commission. Her immense contribution to the commision has not gone un-notice.
Amb. Rosemary has bagged several awards ranging from year 2010, Best Staff Merit Award of new media and Information Security department, Year 2012 Best Staff of Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Department, year 2014 Best Staff office of the Executive Commissioner Technical Services, 10 years long service award in year 2009, Fifteen years long service Award in year 2014, Twenty years long service award in year 2019 among other awards.
Amb. Atu has received several recognitions for her outstanding contributions to the socio-economic development of women, girls and young people in Nigeria. Among them are the Afizere Youth Movement (AYM Van) Award of Excellence in recognition of her outstanding contribution in educating the youths, human capital development in Van Village.

Amb. Rosemary has not only continued to sponsor the education of children and youths in her community of Van Village in Gwafan District of Jos North Local Government Council, but the entirety of the less privileged children and youths that come her way. That attribute of hers prompted the Afizere Youth Movement (AYM) Van Village to honor her with an award of Excellence in recognition of her outstanding contributions in educating the youths and Human capital Development in Van Village.
In December 2023, she attended an International Women Conference on Developing the African Woman’s Strength in Leadership Peace Education Initiative Rwanda. Because of her love and kindness to humanity, she was awarded with a kindness ambassador in 2023.
Furthermore, she just graduated 72 women in a just concluded free 5 days entrepreneurship training program which she organized in January 2024 at the izere arena lamingo Gwafan in Jo’s north local government area of plateau state.
Ambassador mummy Rosemary Atu (as she is fondly called by all,) is a grand-mother of three (3) vibrant children and recipient of many awards.
